The announcement took patrons by surprise since the cafe had just recently posted its July 2017 events calendar. Many patrons young and old were stunned at the abrupt closing and took to social media to commiserate with more than 2000 comments on its Facebook post as of Thursday morning.

The Colorado Cafe was famed for its country theme, line dancing lessons, and the "Meanest Mechanical Bull in NJ."
