College Club Hosts Leap Day Blood Drive in Scotch Plains

SCOTCH PLAINS-FANWOOD, NJ - The College Club of Fanwood-Scotch Plains is hosting a “Leap Day” Blood Drive on Monday, Feb. 29 from 2:00-8:45 p.m. at the New York Blood Center located at 2279 South Ave. in Scotch Plains, NJ.

Due to the winter weather and snow, the blood centers were not able to run blood drives and regular donations have been very low, therefore there is a critical need for donations.

Blood is a lifesaving gift that people can’t live without it.  When one person donates a unit of blood, it can be separated into individual components to save multiple lives.  Your donation can be used to help meet the daily transfusion needs of cancer and surgery patients, accident and burn victims, newborns and mothers delivering babies, and many more.
