Easter Egg Hunts in Fanwood and Scotch Plains on Sat, April 8

SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- Forest Road Park will be the scene of Fanwood’s annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 8, which begins eggs-actly at 10:00 a.m. Children 10 and under are invited to meet the Easter Bunny search for over 1,500 eggs filled with all sorts of goodies. Prizes will be given out for the following contests: Guess the number of Jellybeans, Guess the number of Chocolate Eggs, Bunny Drawing Contest (bring your own bunny drawing), Egg Decorating Contest (bring your own decorated egg). The Scotch Plains Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for Saturday, April 8, at 11:00 a.m. on the Alan Augustine Village Green (430 Park Ave.). The morning of fun and excitement includes face-painting, balloon art, washable tattoos, and photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny. Children must be eight years of age or younger to participate in the Easter Egg Hunt.  The event is sponsored by the Scotch Plains Cultural Arts Committee and the Scotch Plains Recreation Commission. is Scotch Plains-Fanwood’s only free daily paper. Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA (FSPY) 13 and Over Swim Team Finishes 6th at State Championship

LANCASTER, PA -- The Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA swim team traveled to Franklin-Marshall College in Lancaster, PA from March 9th to 11th for the NJ YMCA 13 and Over State Championships.  During this 3 day meet, 51 State Qualifiers from FSPY competed against 25 YMCA swim teams from across the state. Nineteen FSPY swimmers scored points by finishing in the top 16.
