SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- The Education Enrichment Foundation (EEF) of Scotch Plains-Fanwood hosted its 11th annual Leadership Training Conference (LTC 100) on Feb. 8-9, 2020.
Over 100 student delegates, recommended by the faculty of Park Middle School, Terrill Middle School, and St. Bartholomew Academy (grades 5 – 8), participated in the event. The event was held at the Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School and has graduated more than 1,300 students since 2009.
The EEF’s LTC 100 capitalizes on some of the best features of the New Jersey Association of Student Councils (NJASC) four-day Leadership Training Conference (LTC) program and offers a one-day program customized for SPF students. Specifically, LTC 100 student delegates learn leadership skills through class work and hands-on activities involving communication skills, public speaking, and effective leadership qualities. After students graduate from the program, they are invited to return as student leaders to both plan and facilitate the event, providing an opportunity to strengthen their leadership skills.
At the end of the day, the students took a group photo, enjoyed a slideshow, and Leadership Awards and gift cards were given out to five graduating seniors.
