SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- As part of its Libraries Rock summer reading program, the Scotch Plains Public Library invites you to join us for three Family Science events.

Fluorescent Minerals – Thursday, June 28 @ 7pm – They may look like ordinary rocks, but when Stuart Schneider puts them under a special light, they glow! Ages 10 to adult; registration is required.

Gourmet Salt – Monday, July 9 @ 7pm – We know how vital salt is. Marty Silverman of Savory Spice will take you beyond table salt by introducing you to a variety of specialty salts and how to make the most of their flavor, taste tests included. Teens and adults; registration is required.

The Night Sky – Monday, July 23 @ 8pm (raindate, July 30) – We welcome Bob Reichman back as we use his telescope to get a closer look at the moon, Jupiter, and Saturn. Ages 4 and up
