“The changing of the seasons in September inspires many people to also change their diet and lifestyle habits,” says Sharon Goldner, Certified Health Coach & Chef.  “Sometimes people need an extra push or incentive to get started.”  This year, Ms. Goldner and her group of wellness practitioners who have formed the Wellness Group in downtown Fanwood, are offering a gift certificate available at their booth on either Fanny Wood Day on 9/29 or at the Fanwood Health Fair on 10/5.  The certificate includes a sampling of each of their services—massage therapy, self-care coaching, nutrition counseling and healthy cooking, and Reiki.  The value of these services would add up to $285, but for this special promotion, the four practitioners are offering all four of their services for a total of only $100.

“If you stop by our table at 36 S. Martine Ave, this Sunday at Fanny Wood Day, you will have the opportunity to enter our free raffle and possibly win one of our great Gift Certificates!  We look forward to meeting you,” said Ms. Goldner.

Elizabeth Shults, Licensed Massage Therapist,  Laura Madrigano,  Board Certified Life Coach, and Sharon Goldner, Certified Health Coach and Chef, and Catherine Glastal, Reiki Practitioner share a deep commitment to health, healing and serving the community.   They hope that this gift certificate will give the recipients an experience that will motivate them to improve their health, as well as raise awareness of the Wellness Group’s presence in Fanwood.

To purchase this limited-time Sampler Gift Certificate, please stop at their table on Sunday September 29th or Saturday October 5th.  If you are unable to attend those events, you may purchase the certificate until October 5th.  Please call Sharon Goldner, Recipe for a Healthy Life, at 908-242-3763.

Why We Keep Kosher

Why We Keep Kosher

This week's parshah, Shemini, introduces the Torah's dietary laws. Animals must chew their cud and have split hooves to be kosher, fish need fins and scales, and a list of forbidden fowl is enumerated.

To those of us in Jewish education, it is a continuing source of disappointment that so many Jews still believe the kosher laws to be outdated.
