Fanny Wood Day Will Feature Food, Fotos and Fun on Sunday

FANWOOD, NJ - Fanny Wood Day takes place on South Martine & South Ave. this Sunday, Sept. 27 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The town-wide block party will features a car show, opening ceremony, over 100 vendors and food stands. Contests include: a water balloon toss, a pizza-eating, hot wing-eating, ice cream sundae-eating, stuffed pretzel-eating, bubble gum-blowing and hula hoop contests. Additionally, the winner of the fourth annual "Fotos of Fanwood" contest will be announced. 

For kids, there will be a petting zoo, pony rides, a climbing rock wall and rides. Live music will be provided by a DJ and entertainers throughout the day.

11:00 a.m. - Street Fair Opens, Car Show Vendors, and Kids Area Opens
12:00 p.m. - Opening Ceremony with Fanwood-Scotch Plains Scouts Honor Guard
12:15 p.m. - Fotos of Fanwood Winner Announced
12:30 p.m. - Best Dressed Pet Parade - Sponsored by K-9 Resorts
 1:30 p.m. - Ice Cream Eating contest - Sponsored by The Double Dipper
 2:30 p.m. - Water Balloon Toss
 3:30 p.m. - Pizza Eating Contest - Sponsored by Nick's Pizza & Deli

4:00 p.m. - HOT Wing Eating Contest - Sponsored by Nick's Pizza & Deli  *Participants must register in advance for this contest. Each competitor will start with 24 hot wings, and the winner will be the person who devours the most wings in three minutes.

Teens Invited to Participate in Coding and Bi-Weekly After-School Club at the Scotch Plains Public Library
