FANWOOD, NJ -- At the Fanwood Borough Council meeting on Monday, April 16, Mayor Colleen Mahr read a resolution acknowledging Mobile Meals' 50th anniversary and presented it to volunteers Nancy Otchy and Josephine Walsh.

Mobile Meals, based in Westfield, delivers meals to thousands of area residents every day. The organization passed its one millionth meal delivery several years ago. Since 1968, Mobile Meals of Westfield has provided home-delivered meals serving those who are unable to shop and prepare their own meals, on either a temporary or permanent basis because of age, illness or disability. Mobile Meals is a voluntary,  501(c)3 non-profit program available to residents of Westfield, Mountainside, Fanwood, Garwood, Scotch Plains, Clark and Cranford.

Meals are reasonably priced, and unlike other meal delivery services, the organization has no financial need requirements.
