Fanwood Celebrates Arbor Day on Fri., Apr. 25

Fanwood will celebrate its annual Arbor Day observance, which will take place this year on Friday, April 25 at 4 PM at Carriage House Park on Watson Road.

Park Middle School students from the school’s Environmental Club will share their knowledge and demonstrate how to identify a tree.  Additionally, the winner of the Arbor Day poetry contest will be announced.

The Arbor Day Program is sponsored by the Fanwood Shade Tree Commission, caretaker of the many trees in Fanwood’s parks and other public locations.

Every year, the Shade Tree Commissions plants trees on borough properties.  If you are interested in having a street tree planted in front of your home, please contact the Shade Tree Commission at safalco1@comcast.net.
