FANWOOD, NJ -- For the fifth consecutive year the Roser Family of Fanwood will make Paterson Road merry and bright with their annual Christmas House light show. The 20,000 light extravaganza is the work of one person, Greg Roser, who starts preparing the display in September. A blend of wooden home-made pieces and purchased displays the collection started 37 years ago and features a traditional display with no flashing lights and soft Christmas music playing to set the holiday mood.
The display can be viewed at 83 Paterson Road from Nov. 29 to Jan. 8, 2020, from dusk to 10:00 p.m., with continuous lighting all night Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
Children can look forward to visiting with Santa who makes a special stop on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. (or until the last child is seen by Santa). Each child will receive an age appropriate gift; there is no charge for the event and everyone is welcome. However, donations will be accepted for the NJ Institute for Disabilities www.njid.org, with all proceeds going to the charity and all expenses being borne by the Roser Family.
