FANWOOD, NJ - About a hundred volunteers gathered at the Fanwood train station Saturday morning, April 20th, for the annual Clean Community Day event. 

The volunteers grabbed trash bags and were assigned to various parts of town to pick up trash and recyclables. The Earth Day event is sponsored by the Fanwood Dept. of Public Works and the Clean Community Committee with the support of the Lions Club, the Fanwood Environmental Commission, Mayor Colleen Mahr and the Borough Council.
