Fanwood Council Campaign Season Begins

FANWOOD, NJ -- Councilman Russ Huegel and Fanwood Council Candidate Anthony "Coach" Carter, both running on the Democratic ticket, began going door to door last weekend to listen to residents' concerns and share their vision for Fanwood.

"I am proud to serve the people of Fanwood," says Huegel, an attorney and a Fanwood Councilman since 2008, in his candidate statement. "I am committed to searching for innovative ways to keep Fanwood affordable and deliver the quality services Fanwoodians expect and deserve."

Coach Carter is well known in the borough as a Fanwood Recreation Commissioner. He has planned and participated in events such as the Summer Movie Series, the annual Easter Egg Hunt and Fanny Wood Days, among other activities.

Brian Walter is the lone Republican candidate for Council. With two seats up for grabs, the top two of three candidates with the highest vote totals will be elected on Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2017.
