Fanwood Council Recognzies Girl Scouts and Volunteers at Tues, Mar. 21 Meeting

FANWOOD, NJ -- Mayor Colleen Mahr recognized Girl Scout Month by inviting girls from four local troops to the Fanwood Borough Council meeting on Tuesday evening. Girls from Fanwood/Scotch Plains troops (#40181 Daises, #40105 Brownies, and #40164 and #40915 Juniors)  attended the meeting. Some helped lead the Pledge of Allegiance and others took turns reading accomplishments of the Scouts in the community.
Additionally, Rick Regenthal, president of the Fanwood Volunteer Fire Company, was named Volunteer of the Month by Mayor Colleen Mahr at the March Council meeting. Regenthal is a 40-year veteran of the fire service and a past chief with many hours of service in Fanwood. is Scotch Plains-Fanwood’s only free daily paper.
