FANWOOD, NJ - The Fanwood Cultural Arts Performance Series will continue on Saturday, June 9th as they present The Ensemble MazzMuse, who will be performing their fusion of classical, folk, and jazz, nicknamed “electronica” which creates a rich, unique and diverse musical experience.
Group leader Mazz Swift is a vocalist and Juilliard-trained violinist (electric and acoustic) who has appeared on The Today Show and has been listed by critics as one of the most “talented and versatile” violinists in the world.
For the first half of the concert, Swift will perform a program of solo MazzMuse works characterized by their improvisatory, ambient, soulful, and soundscape influences. The ensemble will then join Swift and together they will present a spirited and sonically rich second half of the program.
Refreshments will be on sale at intermission. Snapple has generously donated beverages along with a new tent to cover the food tables, and two new coolers on wheels to keep beverages that they are donating cold.
Nicks Deli (formerly South Martine Avenue Deli) will be adding some of their favorite appetizers and pizza samples to the usual fare of home-made cookies and baked goods.
The Fanwood Cultural Arts Committee invites you to experience great performances in a historic setting at the Patricia M. Kuran Cultural Arts Center, located in back of the Fanwood Borough Hall. Suggested donation is $10, and $5 for seniors and students.
This series of performances is made possible from a HEART (History, Education, Arts Reaching Thousands) grant from the Union Country Board of Chosen Freeholders.
