FANWOOD, NJ -- Fanwood's new curbside recycling bins are being delivered to homes, beginning Monday, Sept. 19. Teams from the PMUA (Plainfield Municipal Utilities Authority) are distributing the 96-gallons containers to the spot where residents would normally set it out on recycling days.

Each blue bin is matched to the home by serial number, an identifier used only by the PMUA to keep track of the bins.

Actual curbside collection begins on Thursday, Oct. 6. Fanwood residents will be receiving a mailing that will review what is recycled curbside and what should be taken to the North Ave. recycling center or other drop off points. The bins will also have a large label with reminders about what can go in them.
