FANWOOD, NJ -- Mayor Colleen Mahr and Economic Development Director Liz Jeffrey hosted an informative roundtable for Fanwood’s home-based businesses on Thursday, Sept 28, inside the historic Carriage House on Watson Road.

The event was a networking opportunity for the town’s sometimes hidden entrepreneurs. About 20 business owners enjoyed wine and cheese and heard Jeffrey run down the latest on Fanwood’s business growth. They also learned about resources available through the town and the Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce whose Executive Director, Gene Jannotti, was present.

Also in attendance was Ellen Cagnassola from the Small Business Development Center at Kean University, which offers free resources including classes to small business owners. is Scotch Plains-Fanwood’s only free daily paper.
