FANWOOD, NJ -- This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing and the Fanwood Library is marking the occasion with a host of space-related activities for children, teens and adults.

Summer Reading Club, A Universe of Stories, blasts off at 7:00 p.m. on June 24 with an Out Of this World Party. Kids are invited to come dressed up as their favorite sci-fi character and enjoy games and music on the library lawn. Monday Nights on the Library Lawn continue each week at 7:00 p.m. through July 29 with a wide array of other-worldly content. You can view the full schedule at  fanwoodlibrary.org/monday-nights-summer-2019.

Kids age six through twelve can sign up for a week-long summer reading club and younger children can attend our weekly Early Literacy Programs. Teens and tweens entering grades five and up can join us for spacey crafts on Tuesdays in July at 4 p.m.

Beginning June 24, teens and adults can enter a Reading Raffle each time they check out a book. Earn two entries if your book is about space. Prizes awarded in August. The Fanwood Memorial Library is located at 5 Forest Road. For more information about these and other programs, visit fanwoodlibrary.org.
