FANWOOD, NJ --  Mayor Colleen Mahr and the Fanwood Borough Council will celebrate official grand opening of its new skate park with a ribbon-cutting with on Saturday, Sept. 24 at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Road Park.

“We are thrilled to provide this new recreational facility to Fanwood families," Mayor Mahr commented. "There are many children and young adults involved with skateboarding and BMX biking, and they deserve to have a safe opportunity to enjoy their sport.”

“After many years of deliberating, hearing feedback from the public, working with our municipal officials, reviewing designs, securing funding, and getting input from local skateboarders, the Fanwood Recreation Commission is happy to present to the community a beautiful, new recreational facility - the Forest Road Park Skate Park," said Fanwood Recreation Director Bob Budiansky. "The Commissioners and I look forward to the skate park providing a superior skateboarding experience to its users for many years to come. Based on the skate park's usage so far, I'd say we're off to an excellent start. “

Why We Keep Kosher

Why We Keep Kosher

To those of us in Jewish education, it is a continuing source of disappointment that so many Jews still believe the kosher laws to be outdated.
