FANWOOD, NJ -- Mayor Colleen Mahr and the Fanwood Borough Council proclaimed January 20, 2021, as Jack Ross Day in honor of the longtime resident (since 1976), who has served as a Special Police Officer for 40 years.

Ross has volunteered his time to the Borough of Fanwood since 1980 in many capacities and leadership roles, including, but not limited to, the Halloween Parade and Costume Contest, Memorial Day Parade, Union County St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee, Tree lighting, 5k Races, Easter Egg Hunt, and Summer Movies in the Park. He also has provided security for the Fanwood court and at Election Day polling places.

"It is our good fortune to have this extraordinary man as a resident and a contributor to the well-being of our community," Mayor Mahr said.
