Fanwood Recreation Department to Host Annual Training Wheel Toss Event

SCOTCH PLAINS-FANWOOD, NJ - Now that warmer weather has finally arrived, many kids in the community will begin getting more involved in outdoor activities, including learning how to ride a bike.

If you’re struggling how to teach your child how to ride a bike the old-fashioned way, then the upcoming Training Wheel Toss event presented by the Fanwood Recreation Commission is for you.

On Sunday, June 8 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., dozens of children in the local community will learn how to ride a bike in the sixth annual Training Wheel Toss at the Union County Vocational School Parking Lot, located at 1776 Raritan Rd. in Scotch Plains.

Participation is free, but registration is required and is limited to 60 participants. Interested applicants can register online at www.fanwoodrecreation.org.
