FANWOOD, NJ -- Elizabethtown Gas is repaving a number of roads in Fanwood after replacing mains and services. The gas company is currently repaving in our southwestern quadrant of the borough. The schedule for the week is:
June 6: Paving Second St. and Coriell, Ave.
June 6: Milling Second St., Belvedere Ave., Burns Way, and Herbert Ave.
June 7: Paving: 2nd, Coriell Ave., and Belvidere Ave.
June 7: Milling Herbert Ave., Marian Ave., Second St., and MacDermott Place.
June 8: Paving Herbert Ave., Marian Ave., Second St.,
Other streets in the area will be redone over the next couple weeks. Homeowners will receive notices to remove vehicles from the streets.
North Avenue: Work on gas main replacement is supposed to be done by the end of July. Then North Avenue will be repaved beginning late August or around Labor day. This repaving work is being paid for mostly by Elizabethtown Gas and NJ American Water.
Paterson Road: Rebuilding from Terrill to Russell Road will begin in late summer. This project is financed by the Borough and grants from the State of NJ and Union County.
