Dear Residents:

We have learned from the Westfield Regional Board of Health Department that Fanwood now has a total of 37 confirmed COVID-19 cases. I am saddened to report one more additional fatality. Our total number of deaths in Fanwood is now at three. Please keep the families of these individuals in your thoughts during this incredibly difficult time knowing they are unable to gather for funerals, memorials, and other group commemorations to honor those lost lives

The most recent fatality lived at The Chelsea. As you know, the rates of infection and COVID-19 related deaths are of concern withing long term care centers across the country. Our Health Department is in daily contact with the management to offer ongoing guidance and track outbreaks. In addition, our Police and Office of Emergency Management are also in contact with the management and staff and are ready to offer assistance. We are here to help all our residents through this difficult time.
