Fanwood-Scotch Plains Service League Offers Flowers for Mother's Day


SCOTCH PLAINS -  The Fanwood-Scotch Plains Service League Thrift Shop, 1741 East Second St. in Scotch Plains, is gearing up for Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 14th. Our volunteer staff  is readying regular and sale merchandise which will be perfect for gift giving on Mom’s big day.

Beginning Tuesday, May 2nd, special for  Mother’s Day, shoppers will find last year's popular handmade silk floral arrangements. Gifts can be selected from the store’s regular merchandise which includes clothing, scarves and other accessories, books, bric-a-brac costume jewelry, and artwork. All items are reasonably priced.

Mother’s Day is the perfect time to check out the shop’s Collector's Corner where you will find collectibles, antiques and jewelry.  All items are researched and are priced below market value.

The Fanwood-Scotch Plains Service League is an all-volunteer non-profit organization that has served the community since 1974 through the operation of its Thrift Shop in Scotch Plains. Since its founding, the League has donated well over $1 million to area service organizations and charitable causes. Anyone interested in learning more about the League or League membership is invited to call 908-322-5420 or to speak to any of the volunteers at the shop. Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA (FSPY) 13 and Over Swim Team Finishes 6th at State Championship

LANCASTER, PA -- The Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA swim team traveled to Franklin-Marshall College in Lancaster, PA from March 9th to 11th for the NJ YMCA 13 and Over State Championships.  During this 3 day meet, 51 State Qualifiers from FSPY competed against 25 YMCA swim teams from across the state. Nineteen FSPY swimmers scored points by finishing in the top 16.
