Fanwood-Scotch Plains Service League Thrift Shop August Calendar

Fanwood-Scotch Plains Thrift Shop

FANWOOD/SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- In August, to make room for late summer- early fall merchandise, the Thrift Shop,1741 E. 2nd St., Scotch Plains, will have special sales. During the month the shop will feature selected items at ½ price.

From Tuesday, August 15 thru Saturday, August 19, the shop will hold its store-wide ½ price sale. The Thrift Shop’s end-of-season Bag Sale is scheduled Tuesday, August 22 thru Saturday, August 26.  For $5.00 shoppers can purchase a brown shopping bag and fill it special finds. No stuffing. There is on limit to the number of bags purchased. Items which don't fit will be 1/2 price.

The shop will be closed from Tuesday, August 29th, thru Monday, Sept. 4, reopening Tuesday, Sept. 5 at 10 am.

The Fanwood - Scotch Plains Service League is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that has served our communities since 1974. Since its founding, the League has donated over $1.2 million for local causes. Anyone interested in learning more about the League or League membership is invited to call 908-322-5420, visit or the “Fanwood-Scotch Plains Service League” Facebook page or speak to any of the volunteers at the shop. 

Hours are Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.   Gently-used donations are always welcome during open hours. Free parking on the street and in the rear of the building (enter parking lot via Willow Ave.). is Scotch Plains-Fanwood’s only free daily paper.
