FANWOOD/SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- Week Five action in the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA Men’s 30+ Basketball League saw one team remain perfect, and another enter the win column for the first time.

Four double-digit scorers paced Team 8 to its 2nd straight victory. Omar Glover led the way with 16 pts (8 boards), Chris Burke tallied 15, Brendan Ryan dropped 14 (4 treys, 7 rebs), and Frank Vallejo added 11 (3 triples). Three players accounted for G.O.’s total output for the day – Capt. Gavin Ford posted a 20-pt, 11-rebound double-double, Greg Shea notched 12 pts, and Geoff Gonzales finished with 9.

The Dimes got off the skids behind their dandy lefty guard combo of Eljay Aguillo (23 pts, five 3’s), and Capt. Brian Ciemneicki (16 pts, 6 rebs). The imposing front court of Craig Cichocki, Kevin Gannon, and Steve Lee each pulled down 7 caroms, and D.D. shot a robust 16-19 from the charity stripe to end a four-game skid.
