FANWOOD/SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- The Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA (FSPY) has recently received two high charity ratings from Charity Navigator and GuideStar, organizations that help individuals make informed decisions regarding donating to nonprofits.

For its strong financial health and ongoing accountability and transparency, the Fanwood-Scotch Plains Y recently received a 100/100 rating from Charity Navigator’s Encompass Rating System, which designates the Y as an official “Give with Confidence” charity. This indicates that the Y is using its donations effectively based on Charity Navigator’s criteria. The Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA also has earned the Platinum GuideStar Nonprofit Seal of Transparency. This is the highest level of recognition offered by GuideStar, a nonprofit database containing a profile for every tax-exempt nonprofit registered with the IRS.
