FANWOOD, NJ – After fears that the residual weather from the weekend rainstorm might spill over and ruin the scheduled street fair, Fanwood experienced almost perfect weather for their semi-annual event.

“We really could not have ordered better weather,” said Fanwood Mayor Colleen Mahr.  “This is a perfect day for families to come out and enjoy what the vendors have to offer.”

Tracy Constandi, president of the Fanwood Business and Professional Association, was also pleased with the result, with the only drawback being that the perfect weather seemed to entice people away earlier than usual, and by 4:30 many vendors were starting to break down their tents and pack away their merchandise.

The Fanwood Business and Professional Association will be sponsoring a Fall Street Fair in September.
