The Fanwood 5K Super Hero Run & Family Fun Run takes place on Sunday, Oct. 16, at La Grande Park at 9:30 a.m.  Beforehand, the one-mile Family Fun Run will begin at 9:00 a.m. Children are welcome to dress up as their favorite costumed characters and all Fun Run participants will receive a super hero cape and mask.  Free refreshments will await all finishers.
The entry fee for the 5K is $30 after October 13. The race is fully sanctioned by the United States of America Track and Field (USATF) and is part of the New Jersey Grand Prix as a 500 point race. All proceeds from the event go to the Fanwood Recreation Department, which organizes the event.
