Too often the holiday preparations create stress and commitments in our lives that deplete our energy physically, emotionally and spiritually.  We get caught up in all of the pressure, make unhealthy food choices, become drained by family commitments, get sick and feel overwhelmed.  This year, be prepared for the holiday crunch by learning the tools and mindset needed to enjoy a happy and healthy season!

On Saturday, November 9th from 2:00-5:00 pm, the Wellness Group practitioners invite you to an educational and engaging workshop event to help cope with the holiday challenges.  Entitled, “Thinking Outside the Gift Box: innovate ways to maintain wellness during the holidays,” the workshop will feature four segments:

·       Catherine Glastal, Reiki Practitioner will demonstrate how you are affected by others’ energies and how to protect and balance yourself when shopping in crowded stores or entertaining family.

·       Sharon Goldner Certified Health Coach and Chef will teach you how to manage the buffet table, choose food that will strengthen your immune system and enjoy parties with no regrets.  She will also demonstrate how to prepare several healthy seasonal appetizers.

·       Laura Madrigano, Board Certified Life Coach will reveal how two self-care techniques—essential oils and journaling—can be used to maintain peace and composure during sensitive encounters with family and holiday guests.

·       Elizabeth Shults, Licensed Massage Therapist will teach a self- help technique based on the ancient Chinese practice of Acupressure. You will learn how to use EFT (emotional freedom technique) to instantly reduce stress in the body, and to manage anger, frustration or an exhausting schedule.

In addition,  each participant will be served appetizers and tea, and will receive the following gifts:  a gift certificate for a 30-minute session with a Wellness Group practitioner of your choice, 20% off future services with all practitioners in the group, a personalized journal, and a take-home binder of easy, holiday recipes, guided journaling and EFT exercises.

The fee for the 3-hour workshop is $79.  Space is limited.  For questions and to register, please contact Sharon Goldner at 908-242-3763 or Sharon@recipeforahealthylife.com

Sinai or Sanctuary?

And in the beginning, G‑d was homeless, and so G‑d asked His people to set Him up with some digs. Where does it say that? Well, nowhere, actually. But it does say that G‑d instructed Moses to tell the people, “They shall make for Me a Sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.”

Now the question is, was G‑d really homeless? ...
