FANWOOD, NJ -- A record crowd enjoyed Fanwood's holiday party under a big tent on the lawn at the north side train station on Sunday, Dec. 6.

Highlights of the celebration included Santa's arrival and visit with hundreds of kids who shared their Christmas wish lists and the lighting of the borough's Christmas tree. Mayor Colleen Mahr led the countdown for the tree lighting to end the party, which was organized by the Fanwood Recreation Commission.

The crowd also enjoyed an afternoon of seasonal music, holiday crafts sponsored by Be Craftful with help from Boy Scout Troop 104, refreshments and contests.
