Coming off a super successful year with events like Holy Schtick and Size Matters, the Young Leadership Division (YLD) of Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ is back with Beat It! The event will take place at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at the Wilf Jewish Community Campus, 1391 Martine Ave., Scotch Plains.

The kick off to YLD’s 2014 year, Beat It! is the perfect venue to socialize and meet other like-minded Jews. Guests will also be introduced to the scope of Federation’s work across the Greater MetroWest community — how it supports job search and training services for the unemployed, kosher meals on wheels for homebound elderly, advocates on behalf of Israel’s legitimacy, and introduces and integrates young families into the Jewish community through social and social action programs based on time and interests.

Featuring an open bar, hors d'oeuvres, and dessert (dietary laws observed), the evening will include a performance by Drum Café, whose members will lead the crowd through an interactive drumming circle (no drumming experience needed).

The crowd will also be joined by Brian Seymour, a young leader in the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach, Fla., who will share his Jewish journey and why Federation’s work is important and relevant to younger generations.

The cost is $75. Open to adults ages 25-45. Registration is online only at www.jfedgmw.org/beat. Learn more about YLD by visiting www.jfedgmw.org/yld.
