WARREN, NJ - President Trump will be in Bedminster for the next few weeks and air space over the area has been mostly quiet since he arrived. But on Sunday, the sound of fighter jets was startling, with witnesses reporting the jets both in the morning and afternoon.

Contrary to five-year-old articles being shared on social media, the jets had nothing to do with the U.N. General Assembly, which does not convene until September.

Eyewitnesses saw a jet fly up from a lower altitude in the path of a small Cessna on Sunday. The jet circled the Cessna, and did it again. The plane made a hard left and flew south.

When aircrafts get too close and don't respond, the fighter jets show up.

The 72nd Regular Session of the UN General Assembly will convene at UN Headquarters on Tuesday, Sept. 12. The General Debate will open on Tuesday, Sept. 19.
