FANWOOD, NJ -- Fanwood Police Chief Richard Trigo is reminding residents to be diligent in locking their cars in order to prevent thefts.

On Wednesday, Dec. 30, at approximately 6:00 p.m., two unlocked vehicles were entered in the 100 block of Hunter Ave. Similar incidents have taken place in surrounding communities in the overnight hours.

"Residents are reminded to always lock their vehicle doors and never leave valuables in plain view," Chief Trigo advises.
