PLAINFIELD, NJ - The City of Plainfield is inviting residents to an town hall meeting regarding safety on Thursday, Jan. 5, at 7:00 p.m.
There were 12 homicides in Plainfield in 2016, with two coming days apart in the last week of December.
In Mayor Adrian O. Mapp's year-end message to residents, he noted that he and his administration are gathering all possible resources to fight back against the violence.
The town hall meeting will be held at Washington School, located at 427 Darrow Avenue in Plainfield. Mayor Mapp encourages everyone to come with questions, ideas and suggestions for this interactive meeting.
