METUCHEN, NJ - Devin Busono, John Hoban, Jason Manuel, and Henry Schaeffer were recognized recently by Saint Joseph High School upon being named finalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program.
According to school officials, out of the approximate 1.6 million students who score high on the PSAT/NMSQT, around 50K students nationally reach the criteria to be considered for the National Merit Scholarship Program.
Approximately two-thirds of that 50K become commended students, and the remaining third become semifinalists.
School officials at SJHS expressed their pride in a recent Facebook post about having four finalists in their ranks out of the roughly 15,000 students in the category nationwide.
