SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- The Scotch Plains Farmers’ Market will host an evening of al fresco dining with delicious hors d’oeuvres, and a five-course meal artfully prepared by local chef extraordinaire, Brian Kirpan, from BK Private Dining and Catering on Sat, Sept. 16, beginning at 5:00 p.m.

The meal will consist of chef-selected, local produce and ingredients from the Scotch Plains Farmers’ Market’s farmers and “Best of the Best” vendors. Music will be provided by the Ivory Jazz Band.

“We are so excited about this event,” said Jeffrey R. Stein, co-manager of the Scotch Plains Farmers’ Market and marketer of the event. “Our inaugural From Farm to Table benefit dinner will help our homeless veterans. It promises to be a great evening while helping a great cause.”

“We look forward to having the community join us in celebrating our amazing farmers, and Best of the Best vendors,” added Lisa Mohn, President of the Scotch Plains Business and Professional Association, and co-manager of the Scotch Plains Farmers’ Market. “It will be a remarkable event.”

The event is BYOB. However a signature virgin cocktail will be served. The evening includes a live performance by the incredible Ivory Jazz Band.
