SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, The Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA (FSPY) Piranhas swim team held its annual recognition banquet was held at L'Affair on Rt. 22 on Thursday, April 16.

HIghlights of the evening included a presentation of team records achieved during the 2014-15 season, senior and junior recognition, and the Aaron T. Moore Leadership Award presentation by head coach Chris Karelus.

Thirteen swimmers qualified for the 2015 YMCA Short Course National Championships, where the team finished 31st out of 193 teams and eight team records were set. FSPY finished seventh at the 2015 New Jersey YMCA State Championships.
