SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- Be ready for a monster cookie sale by local Girl Scouts in the coming weeks.
On Tuesday, March 12, dozens of volunteers helped to sort 3,838 cases -- that's 46,000+ boxes -- of Girl Scout Cookies® at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Scotch Plains.
The Girl Scouts would like to thank IHM for allowing use of its facilities for the cookie sale and Donna Grybowski, the "Cookie Momster," who has helped organize cookie sales for the last several years.
Look for Girl Scout Cookie booths to be stationed around town in the coming days and weeks.
According to the Girl Scouts website, when you make a cookie purchase, you’re helping the next generation of female entrepreneurs get an important taste of what it takes to be successful. They experience teamwork, planning, and a positive outlook (for starters). Proceeds stay local and help power new experiences. Selling Girl Scout Cookies teaches girls essential skills they can use to be successful today and in the future. It's a sweet deal.
