SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School star Maggie Lapolla today signed her National Letter of Intent to play Division I Girls' Lacrosse at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.

Lapolla has been a three-year starter in both tennis and lacrosse as a Raider after transferring in her sophomore year.  She earned First Team All-Conference Honors as a junior last year and has been a leader on and off the field.

"Her leadership by example is prevalent in her play as she is a non-stop hustling athlete who motivates others by her hard work and dedication," said Scotch Plains-Fanwood's athletic director Ryan Miller. "Maggie is among the top scorers in the program's history when totaling her assists and goals. We are anticipating another great season this spring."
