FLEMINGTON, NJ - The Hunterdon Central girls soccer team went toe to toe with highly regarded Scotch Plains-Fanwood Thursday and fought them to a draw.
Brie Pavol scored in the first half to give Hunterdon Central its lone goal in a game that ended in a 1-1 tie after the teams battled through a scoreless overtime. Shaye Seyffart assisted on Pavol's goal.
Ava Gillikin of Hunterdon Central (4-1-1) turned away six shots. Scotch Plains-Fanwood, which got a second-half goal from Taylor Diggs, is 4-0-2.
