Girls Soccer: Scotch Plains-Fanwood Advances in Union County Tourney, 3-0, Over A.L. Johnson

SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- The Scotch Plains-Fanwood girls soccer team advanced to the semifinals in the Union County tournament after defeating A.L. Johnson of Clark in the quarterfinals, 3-0, on Saturday.

Kerri McNeely scored two second-half goals and Corrinne Lyght scored one goal. McNeely leads the team with 12 goals, while Lyght and Erika Muskus are tied for second on the team with 10.

Maya Kessler blanked the Crusaders by stopping all three shots on goal.

The Raiders have a few days off before returning to action against Union on Oct. 17.

The Scotch Plains Library is located at 1927 Bartle Ave., one block from Park Ave. in the center of town.
