SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- In a showdown between two of the top girls swim teams in the state, a deep and boisterous Immaculate Heart team narrowly defeated Scotch Plains-Fanwood before a large crowd at Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA (FSPY) on Tuesday afternoon.

  • 200 Freestyle: DeeDee Maizes, Scotch Plains-Fanwood 1:55.00
  • 200 IM: Catherine Fazio, Immaculate Heart 2:08.25
  • 50 Freestyle: Kate Sheridan, Immaculate Heart 24.72
  • 100 Butterfly: Stephanie Judge, Scotch Plains-Fanwood 57.37
  • 100 Freestyle: Kate Sheridan, Immaculate Heart 52.10
  • 500 Freestyle: Amanda Lauer, Immaculate Heart 5:09.52
  • 200 Freestyle Relay: Arevalo-Dowd-Horne-Sheridan, Immaculate Heart 1:38.53
  • 100 Backstroke: Catherine Fazio, Immaculate Heart 58.18
  • 100 Breaststroke: Rachel Maizes, Scotch Plains-Fanwood 1:08.68
  • 400 Freestyle Relay: Lauer-Fazio-Arevalo-Sheridan, Immaculate Heart 3:31.87

The unbeaten Eagles, ranked No. 1 in the state by NJ.com, improved to 8-0, while the Raiders slipped to 8-1.
