Girls Swimming: Scotch Plains-Fanwood Prevails Against Westfield, Remains Undefeated

WESTFIELD, NJ - The visiting Scotch Plains-Fanwood girls swim team defeated Westfield in a dominating performance, 118-52, at the Westfield YMCA on Wednesday.

Erica Frazier-Rachel Maizes-Stephanie Judge and Sarah Davis led off with a win in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:47:51. Davis also won the 50 and the 100 freestyle races. Dee Dee Maizes took the 200 free  Stephanie Judge won both the 100 butterfly. Erica Frazier won the 100 backstroke. Rachel Maizes finished first in the 100 breaststroke. Scotch Plains-Fanwood also won the 200 freestyle (R. Maizes-M. Dunchus-D. Maizes-A. Banasiak) and 400 freestyle (A. Banasiak-D. Maizes-E. Frazier-S. Davis) relays. 

Emily McGann provided Westfield with its lone victory on the day in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:23:37.

The Raider girls next swim at home against Cranford on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. Westfield hosts New Providence on Thursday, Jan. 7, at 2:30 p.m.
