PLAINFIELD, NJ --  The Union Catholic girls tennis team won its second straight match and evened its season record with a 4-1 victory over Plainfield on Monday at Hub Stine Field.

The Vikings have now won three of its last four matches to improve to 3-3 on the season.

UC won two of the three singles matches and captured both doubles matches to secure the victory.

In the singles competition, Maddy Abood won her second singles match, 6-0, 6-0, and Annie Hartnett was victorious at second singles, 6-2, 6-0. 

In doubles, Elisabeth Pickel and Madison Truesdale won in straight sets at first doubles, and Amelia Casale and Cara Leegan won a thrilling three set match at second doubles. Casale and Leegan lost the fist set, but came storming back to win the second set 7-5, and the third set,10-4.
