Girls Volleyball: Jones, Szyszkiewicz, and Fuhrmann Ignite Union Catholic to Win over Union

UNION, NJ -- The Union Catholic girls volleyball team, ranked No. 11 in the state by NJ.com, received great performances from Emily Jones, Olivia Szyszkiewicz, and Mackenzie Fuhrmann when the Vikings defeated Union on Monday in Union. 

Jones had eight assists, eight service points, and two digs for UC, which defeated Union, 25-21 and 25-16 to improve to 3-0. Szyszkiewicz recorded 11 service points, nine assists, four aces, and three kills, and Fuhrmann had seven kills, five digs and one block. The Vikings also received four kills and a dig from Bella Giacobbe, three kills and one block from Prima Ngumah, and one block and one kill from Tyler Scott.

UC also won the J.V. and freshman matches vs. Union.

Girls Basketball: Union Catholic Will Play In Game To Support Childhood Cancer

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- The Union Catholic varsity girls basketball team is honored to be playing in the Gold-Out game at Bernards High School for the third straight year, a game that will raise money and awareness for Childhood Cancer.

The event, scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m, is called the “Gold-Out’’ game because gold is the awareness color for Childhood Cancer.
