Grab the Kids and Join This Very Special Read Across America Gathering


CALLING CHILDREN OF ALL AGES!  The Union County Education Association (UCEA) is hosting a Read Across America Pride event open to all.   Read Across America is a national event to promote reading to every child in every community. It is celebrated in conjunction with the famous children’s author, Dr. Seuss’ birthday on March 2nd.  

The UCEA will hold their local event at the Barnes and Noble at 240 US Highway 22 in Springfield, New Jersey on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. The UCEA is holding this Pride Event to build community support and involvement. Legislators, college students and other volunteers will be on hand to read to the children. There will be a raffle for books and a goodie bag for the children.

The UCEA consist of 12,400+ educators. The organization provides an opportunity for members to consult on issues affecting education in Union County, arrange educators of Union County in furthering the goals of the education profession, and promoting the highest professional standard practices and ethics among educators.
