SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- A kernel of an idea from a visit to Philadelphia by local man Tom Donatelli resulted in the creation of the Historical Documentation Committee 7 years ago.

Its purpose is to research local historical places and homes and create signs to be displaced by the historical places. The signs completed are detailed and beautiful.

Come to the monthly meeting of the Historical Society of Scotch Plains & Fanwood on Tuesday evening Oct. 22nd to hear about the beginnings, the accomplishments and where the committee plans to go.  The meeting starts at 7:30 p.m. and is held at the Scotch Hills Country Club in Scotch Plains.

Tom will present and some of the committee's other volunteers will be present: Judy & Pete Terry, Marie Leppert, Jim Checchio, David Bierman & Pastor Chaz. The meeting is free and open to everyone.
