SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM) parish in Scotch Plains is appealing for donations for its food pantry, which has experienced an increase in usage since the coronavirus began.

"Once again, we are appealing to our community to help us continue to feed those in need," said Geraldine Keough, an IHM parishioner. "Our pantry was almost emptied after our Wednesday distribution. We are open again this Sunday and have almost nothing to give out. Please donate what you can, your gifts of food are going straying to someone’s plate."

Among the most needed items are canned fruits and vegetables, peanut butter, jelly, pasta sauce, tuna, mac & cheese, and coffee.
