Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish to Host Senior Brunch and Parish Festival Events in Scotch Plains

IHM celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2014.
Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Scotch Plains

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM) Parish (1571 Martine Ave., Scotch Plains), invites the local community to attend two upcoming events.

On Tuesday, August 29, the parish will host its Summer Brunch for Senior Citizens from 9:45 to 11:15 a.m. at the Nazareth Center gymnasium behind the church. The event is free, but anyone planning to attend should call (908) 889-2100 to RSVP. This will help ensure that enough food is ordered and to make sure each attendee gets a proper welcome at the event.

On Sunday, September 17, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m., IHM will host its annual Parish Fiesta behind the church. This rain-or-shine family friendly event will feature a disc jockey and an ample supply of hot dogs, burgers, soda and water and games. This event is also free, but attendees are encouraged to bring salads or a specialty dessert in a spirit of sharing and fellowship. Please RSVP to help the planning process. Call (908) 889-2100 and provide the number of adults and children who will be attending.
