SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- Although Westfield ended Scotch Plains-Fanwood’s nine-year hold on the Union County title on Oct. 21, just two weeks later, the Raiders got their revenge by defeating the Blue Devils in the North 2, Group 4 Sectional semifinals, 4-0, on Monday. Two of the four goals were scored by sophomore Leah Klurman, this week's Joint Motion Physical Therapy Athlete of the Week.

A few days earlier, on October 28, Klurman had her first multi-goal game vs. Perth Amboy, against whom she scored two goals and had an assist in a 9-0 victory. On the season, she has a total of nine goals and six assists and has played some of her best soccer at the end of what has been another typically strong season for Scotch Plains-Fanwood.
